Enquiry 1 Assessment – Report (20%)
Your task is to prepare a 1000 word report that relates to working effectively with children and
their families.
The following questions are based on theories and will need to be defined (using correct APA 6
referencing style) and discussed in terms of the case scenario. You will need to provide clear
examples from the case scenario for your answers to illustrate your understanding of the
questions (see below for the examples required for each question).
1. Identify how Ana’s behaviour (as described in the case enquiry) has been or is being
influenced by learning. Which specific learning principles are operating, and in what
specific ways are these influencing his behaviour. (Please provide a definition of each
learning principle with a reference, and least one examples of operant conditioning, one
example of classical conditioning and one example of social learning from the case
scenario in your response).
2. Identify Ana’s probable stage of psychosocial and cognitive development; and
a) What factors as described in the case enquiry might be impacting on Ana’s
development?
b) What influences are these developmental factors having on Ana’s behaviour as
described in the case enquiry? (You will need to provide a definition of both the
developmental stages you have identified Ana to be in and justify your response with
examples from the case scenario to demonstrate your understanding of the stages)
3. In what ways are issues with memory impacting on Ana (either as a result of Ana’s own
memory, and/or the memory processes of other significant people in the enquiry) (You
will need to include the definition of memory with a reference and the importance
memory plays in this scenario in your response)
