Title: Comparison of KM Implementations of Two Organisations – INFOSYS (Chapter 17) & RESERVE BANK of NZ (Chapter 13)

Each student finds 2 organisations and prepares a report to compare their KM implementations. The report should
include
• description of the organisations (knowledge types, KM objectives, organisational objectives, competitive
advantages in knowledge economy, contexts of knowledge and KM, etc.)
• comparison of their KM implementations (challenges, KM cycles, KM models, strategies, culture, people, etc.)
• discussion of the success factors of and/or lessons learned from the implementations, and
• recommendation for their KM improvement.
You can search the Web and/or contact the chosen organisations for information needed for the report. Besides reading
the unit materials, you should also review the literature for underlying concepts, frameworks (KM cycles/models) and
discussions, and show evidence that you have read at least 10 references1 in the literature (including the textbook) to
prepare the report. A variety of references are expected including books, refereed journals, case studies, newspapers,
magazines and electronic references.
Documentation is assessed. Your report should contain:
• report title page,
• table of contents,
• introduction,
• main body of the report,
• conclusions,
• references, and
• appendices (if applicable).
