Assignment Brief Select an appropriate research topic. Your research topic should be approved no later than week commencing 5th of February 2018.

The selected topic should lead you to gather relevant statistical data as well as allow you to do some meaningful and simple statistical analysis.

The topic can be linked to your target course of study or your personal interests. You should give a clear rationale for your choice of topic.

 

Assignment Requirements

 

  • Clear introduction and rationale for choice of topic.
  • State at-least one clear and relevant hypothesis.
  • Explain at-least four specific research biases and discuss their impact on Your  research.
  • Explain the solutions you have found to reduce the impacts of biases on your research.
  • Explain what technique(s) you have used to collect data and why.
  • Collect data, from secondary sources (minimum size of sample for each category – 50).
  • You should include, in an appendix, evidence of your data collection.
  • Analyse your data by performing statistical calculations.
  • Present your data using tables, diagrams and charts.
  • Include written comments to explain and interpret your results/diagrams.
  • Include a comprehensive conclusion highlighting the outcome of your hypothesis and key findings of your research.
