Venue, facility and site.
• Venue – A place where an organised gathering is held.
• Facility – a built structure where events are held, generally has
multiple venues.
• Site – an outdoors venue, generally with temporary infrastructure.
• Marquee – temporary venue structure, i.e. a large tent.

example of a venue, where there is only a

Facility
The Sydney Opera House is a good example of a facility, it was
specifically built for events and houses several discrete event
spaces or venues within it. Other examples would include a
cinema complex or university campus
