2. The prototype of the images presented will be more salient and thus be more likely to be selected as familiar or correct. Research Design
The experiment will consist of manipulation of variables. The experiment will use numbered images that will vary from 1 to 5. Only certain portions of the picture will be varied which will make up a complete image that is abstract. The experiment will manipulate the numbers during the learning phase and testing phase. Only during the testing period will there be images with varied portions that are all 1’s, 5’s, or 3’s. The prediction will be the picture with all 3’s – the average of the images – be selected more frequently and thus be categorized as the prototype. Do not follow the format I laid out - it is wrong. You may follow the sources I used. Also, please come up with a better title than I. I was hit rather hard with the mere "prototypes" title. Thank you - and good luck!
