Having a vision for a collaborative culture and a scholarly community is not enough for a higher education leader. That vision must be effectively communicated to stakeholders so that it becomes a shared vision and leads to a common culture that supports effective collaboration and the building of a community of scholars. This assignment will challenge you to consider how collaboration can connect both alumni and the community at large to form a vibrant community of scholars.
General Requirements:
Use the following information to ensure successful completion of the assignment:
• Use APA 6th Edition style for the writing assignment.
• This assignment requires that at least two additional scholarly research sources related to this topic, and at least one in-text citation from each source be included. Only use scholarly journals that are from 2009 to 2015 and refer to the APA 6th Edition manual for proper citation
Directions:
Write a 1,000-1,250-word paper that describes how a higher education leader can effectively create a shared vision and culture that both supports effective collaboration and the building of a community of scholars.
Address the following in the paper:
1. Create a description of how to create a shared vision among stakeholders.
2. Create a description of how to create a shared culture among stakeholders.
3. Create a research-supported statement of how a leader can harness a collaborative culture in order to fuse alumni and the community at large into a vibrant community of scholars.
