You are required to gather information then write a report on 2 of the topics listed below (60 points each project). If you want to report on an additional one for extra credit, that is permissible. If they are too large to post here please send via email. For these Projects, you will need to submit using pictures, diagrams, descriptions, etc. There is no required number of pages or anything like that. I am looking for quality not quantity.  Write them from the point of view that you are teaching someone about them.Topics are listed below, however; there are many more that you may like to research and report. The topic you choose needs to be outside the area of expertise you already have. Ie. A process or product where you work. Any progressive topic that you would like to submit but is not listed below should have prior approval from your instructor.-Clean room: What is it used for in industry? What level is used for which application? -ESD: What is it? What issues are involved with it? How is it controlled? -Powder paint system: How does it work? Pros & cons to other paint systems? -Cooling: Compare – Refrigerants, Air to Air & H2O to Air exchangers -Heating: Compare Air, Radiant -HVAC using these energy sources: Compare – Hydrogen, Geothermal, Petroleum based, Electrical -Insulation: Compare various types along with pros and cons of each -Fuel Cell Technology: What is it? How can it be used in industry today? Is it cost effective? -Waste stream: Define a waste stream and how it works. Discuss why & why not. -Hybrid electric and/or electric people movers. Discuss why not? -Bio-fuel technology – What is it? Compare & contrast fuel sources.  Give pros and cons of bio-fuel with other energy sources. -Feasibility of using methane gas as an alternative fuel – How is it produced?  What applications are feasible?
