ENGIN START-STOP VIBRATION DAMPING
The report is with other group member. please find below the report structure as requested by the university.
A. Report Content
1. Summary
A concise general overview of the project, the aims and objectives and the major results and achievements should be provided.
2. Problem and significance
A clear explanation of the project subject should be provided and its significance described.
3. Review of other work
Other related work in the field should be summarised.
4.Project methodology
The engineering methods used in carrying out the project should be clearly described.
5. Technical competence
Technical competence in carrying out the project should be demonstrated.
6. Results or findings
The results or findings of the project should be clearly described.
7. Discussion and conclusions
The final status of the project should be discussed, any implications for the remainder of the project identified and addressed and related to the project objectives, special features of the project outlined and limitations and discrepancies addressed.
I have attached the module handbook to help you along with some extra materials to write about other works in number 3 including our supervisors thesis.
The main idea of the project is to reduce vibration in cars during start stop in the engine, we have found out the the vibration happens mainly when the engine starts not when it stops. the solution was to make the ISG (integrated starter generator) to apply load to on certain points to the crankshaft to reduce the Torque output.
we have been using MatLab and MatLab Simulink through out the project.
the project consisted of 3 main parts
modelling
signal processing
control
we will need to discuss all 3 parts if the project theoretically.
I have attached all the materials we used during the project
