- Defining what sustainability and liveability means to a community (group)
In this section, each team member is required to (1) interview 5 people in their local community (e.g., family, neighbours) about what the terms Sustainability and Liveability mean to them (i.e., how they define these terms), and what makes, or would make, their suburb liveable (i.e., indicators of liveability).
The group then decides on one suburb as the focus of the study and provides (1) a description of the suburb or study area and (2) a demographic profile of the residents using the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) Census data. Specific variables to be examined in the profile include: age, gender, income, education, unemployment, and ethnicity.

Sources should include: relevant academic journals and books, as well as government reports and statistics (2) an assessment of supply/provision of relevant infrastructure/facilities/programs/services in the area in relation to their chosen indicator’ and (3) an analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of current provision and the potential for further development. This section should contain written information but also, where appropriate, maps, photos and diagrams to illustrate existing conditions.
(In this part, I am require to do SAFETY as a range of indicator of liveability in SOUTHBANK PARKLANDS) PLEASE MAKE SURE WITH THIS PART AS THIS IS THE INDIVIDUAL PART AND THIS IS THE PART WHERE WE WILL BE MARKED DIFFERENTLY.
