For Assignments 1-5, you will take on the role of a budget analyst for a local government agency. The first role of the budget analyst is to become familiar with the agency, the budget, programs, and capital projects. Select any local (city) government (e.g., Oklahoma City). To locate your agency’s budget, you can either conduct a Google search on the word “Oklahoma City Financial Plan” or you can locate the information on the local government’s Website. As a budget analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing, examining, proposing, and preparing the agency’s budget for the next five (5) years. Change the Paper Title in the Header

Write a four to five (4-5) page paper (does not include the Title or Reference pages), titled Part I: The Operating Budget for the (Selected Agency) in which you separate the content into sections:

Conclusion

Your conclusion is essentially the opposite of your introduction – explain what was discussed in your paper, highlight important aspects, provide summary remarks, include observations, etc. Wow…we are on page 4 already (not including the Title Page). So, all you need to do is delete the blue text (Keep the text in black/Headers), complete each section, complete the Title Page and Reference pages.

 

References

List your reference here in APA format. The reference page must include all of the references you used, listed in proper APA format. Refer to the Citations.doc post in the Student Center under “Additional Resources”.

 

Provide the agency’s Website name, URL, and any other sources used to support the assignment’s criteria.

 

The assignment asks for: Prepare a 4-5 page paper addressing the following questions. Note that this does not include the Title or Reference pages.
