Instructions for any Case Study in this Course
These instructions are based on our Unit II Case Study Assignment, but case studies are usually very similar in structure. They will generally give you a business case, i.e. a problem of some sort, and ask you to solve it. Many times theywill ask you questions as well.
When doing a case study, the first thing you do is to look at what the assignment objectives are. For this assignment, the main instructions were to analyze the case and provide conclusions, recommendations, and implications. This means more than one solution. It also asks you to consider the challenges of implementing the solutions and answer some questions at the end of the chapter.
So, keeping these objectives in mind, the next thing you do is read the ENTIRE case study. Then, you read it again, but this time you write down what the main problems are. What are the specific challenges in this case? There may be more than 1 problem or challenge to be solved. What is the case study asking you to solve or do? You write this information down and make sure you write down parameters as well. Then, you note what prior solutions have been tried (if any) and why they failed.
Taking the problem, parameters, and prior failed solutions into consideration, what kinds of solutions can you offer? List as many as you can think of. Then, think about the advantages and disadvantages of each of the solutions. Are there any further implications or risks involved? What are the challenges to implementing each of the solutions? Once you’ve done all of this, you should have a good idea of at least 2 solutions that might work.
Having completed your analysis, now you are ready to put something in a paper. You can mention the main issues/problems of the case in 2 or 3 or 4 sentences, but you don’t need to repeat all of the details. I have already read the case study so I know the details. Once you’ve very briefly stated the problem that is to be solved, then you can provide a recommended solution. You will tell us why that solution would work. You mention the advantages, any disadvantages, risks, etc.. You mention any other implications of importance. Once you are done with that solution, you write about the second solution and so on.
Lastly, for this assignment there are some final unanswered questions. You can add them into each of your solutions if appropriate or you can add them into a separate paragraph as ‘additional considerations’. It just depends on what the questions are asking for.
If you follow all of these steps, then you are showing that:
Analyzed the case
Provided recommended solutions
Provided reasoning for your recommendations including the advantage’s, disadvantages, potential risks, and implications
Addressed any additional concerns or questions.
The steps that I have listed and explained can be used for most any case study that you encounter.

Should pit bull terriers be banned in my community

Discussion Forum: Counterarguments (Should pit bull terriers be banned in my community) You created a question about the topic for your W6 Rough Draft. For this discussion, you will give an answer to that question in the form of a thesis statement. "Dieting Makes People Fat" Main Post: Share your thesis statement with your classmates. Please note: As with last week’s discussion, nothing here is set in stone. Be open to changing everything about your topic, including your position and audience, as you research it and get feedback from your classmates. Topic + Position/Purpose + Supporting Points =Thesis Statement Example: Suppose the question you posed in the Week 5 discussion was something like, “Should pit bull terriers be banned in my community?” After doing some preliminary research, you have concluded that pit bulls, if raised properly, are no more dangerous than other breeds of dogs. Your thesis statement can be something like, “Pitbulls should not be banned

Controversy Associated With Dissociative Disorders

Assignment: Controversy Associated With Dissociative Disorders The  DSM-5-TR  is a diagnostic tool. It has evolved over the decades, as have the classifications and criteria within its pages. It is used not just for diagnosis, however, but also for billing, access to services, and legal cases. Not all practitioners are in agreement with the content and structure of the  DSM-5-TR , and dissociative disorders are one such area. These disorders can be difficult to distinguish and diagnose. There is also controversy in the field over the legitimacy of certain dissociative disorders, such as dissociative identity disorder, which was formerly called multiple personality disorder. In this Assignment, you will examine the controversy surrounding dissociative disorders. You will also explore clinical, ethical, and legal considerations pertinent to working with patients with these disorders.
