Aristotle claims that in living our lives we should aim at our own happiness, or Eudaimonia (excellence).  He also claims that an essential element or ingredient of Eudaimonia is virtue.  Now, at times, the requirements of virtue may call for self-sacrifice.  For example, the virtue of courage may require us to risk our lives on the battlefield.  And the virtues involved in friendship (also an essential ingredient of the happy life for Aristotle) may call for us to make considerable sacrifices for our friends—even perhaps giving our lives for them.
The question for you to address in your paper is this: has Aristotle succeeded in showing that we should make these kinds of sacrifices—given that he is also telling us that we should aim first and foremost at our own happiness?

Your paper should contain these elements:
(1)   An introductory paragraph briefly stating the issue being examined and the
conclusion you intend to defend—e.g., “In this paper I will argue in support of Aristotle’s view that happiness can require self-sacrifice”; “In this paper I will argue that, contrary to what Aristotle maintains, people should not be expected to sacrifice themselves for others.”
(2)   A defense of Aristotle’s position on the central question (this should include a clear and succinct account of Aristotle’s notion of happiness or Eudaimonia—here you should cite the text directly.)

(3)   Objections to Aristotle’s position
(4)   Replies to these objections
If you agree with Aristotle, your paper is done here and you can skip to step (6).
If not, you need to go to step (5):
(5)   A brief account of why the objections still stand, despite the replies.
(6)   A brief conclusion stating what you think you have accomplished in this paper

It is used not just for diagnosis, however, but also for billing, access to services, and legal cases. Not all practitioners are in agreement with the content and structure of the  DSM-5-TR , and dissociative disorders are one such area. These disorders can be difficult to distinguish and diagnose. There is also controversy in the field over the legitimacy of certain dissociative disorders, such as dissociative identity disorder, which was formerly called multiple personality disorder. In this Assignment, you will examine the controversy surrounding dissociative disorders. You will also explore clinical, ethical, and legal considerations pertinent to working with patients with these disorders.
