You work as a Research Officer for the Consultative Council on Obstetric and Paediatric Mortality and Morbidity. Public concern has arisen recently regarding the health outcomes for children conceived by artificial reproductive technology/assisted human reproduction techniques (such as IVF, ICSI, DI, fertility drugs). You have been asked to search the
literature to obtain evidence upon which public health policy decisions can be made in relation to this matter.
You are required to conduct a search to acquire a CURRENT article which reports a research study on the relationship between artificial reproductive technology/assisted human reproduction (any type, such as IVF, ICSI, DI) and birth defects/congenital anomalies. The design employed by the study should be a cohort study AND it should be published between 2012-2018 . In consultation with your Department Head (workshop facilitator), you are required to select one article from the search output, and you are then to acquire the full text of this article. An analysis of this article is to be conducted, utilising the section headings set out below, and submitted as a report in 1500 words. In addition, a 500 word reflection on learning is also to be completed and submitted as a separate document
