Excel is a very useful tool in many businesses.  In your discussion post:
  • Explain the benefits of using Excel as opposed to keeping track of calculations manually. 
  • List 3 specific uses for an Excel spreadsheet in the field you are going into.  Give specific examples of how you could or have used Excel in the field.  Choose examples that you are familiar with, remembering that personal stories always makes a post more interesting.
You will need to do an original post before you can read other students' posts.
Once you have done your original post, read the majority of posts from your classmates and choose two to respond to. Your response should be well thought out and further the discussion. One idea is to respond to posts from career fields other than your own and compare how your field uses technology to their field. When writing on a discussion board, including personal experiences and examples can help to make your posts more interesting and unique
