Post 1: Project management techniques. Select a possible project management situation from your work or school experience and develop a project plan with at least five activities and with at least one predecessor activity. Create an activity network for your project. From your activity network, determine the critical path and identify any slack within your project. As you develop your project network be sure to think critically about each activity and use your best estimate of the time for the activity. How has the process of developing a project plan impacted how you might manage projects in the future?

  1. Purchasing the scanning equipment is required before scanning existing charts.

  1. Updating computer equipment can cause delays due to time needed for systems to be down and installed after work thus causing problems once operations are back up and running
  2. Scanning all existing charts could be delayed to due current staff scanning in between other job responsibilities.

The planning process in its entirety is beneficial in organizing a plan to implement a new idea. I actually created and saw this process through at the dental office that I currently work for. I am unsure of all the figures involved because they were finalized by the owner of the business, but I followed each step through to the end. To this day, we are still working out small kinks here in there because different scenarios come to lite causing us to slightly adjust our written procedure. If we would have brainstormed the process through like I have shown it would have been a lot less stressful and time consuming.

3/4-1 page paper for post 1(Nothing less than 3/4 of a page and nothing more then 1-page necessary)
1-2 sources in APA citation for post 1(I willn’t need any more than 3 sources for sure)
